Emily Walton

Choreographer

Emily Walton has been choreographing for her mom, Laurie Walton, for 6 years now. Choreography credits, at the Y and elsewhere, include: Hairspray, The Drowsy Chaperone, Pippin, Thirteen, Spelling Bee, The Boy Friend, Rent, Merrily We Roll Along, A Little Night Music, Bat Boy, Crazy for You, West Side Story, City of Angels, Oklahoma, Urinetown and Zombie Prom. Though she loves choreographing, Emily is primarily an actress whose credits include: Come From Away (Broadway and National Tour), Darling Grenadine (Roundabout Underground, Goodspeed Opera House), August: Osage County (Broadway), Saved and The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World (both new musicals at Playwrights Horizons), Cactus Flower (West Side Theatre), The Graduate (Cape Playhouse), The Sound of Music (Pittsburgh CLO), High School Musical 2 (North Shore Music Theatre), and NYC readings of The Unsinkable Molly Brown (directed by Kathleen Marshall and starring Sutton Foster), Ever After (directed by Doug Hughes), and Picnic at Hanging Rock (Lincoln Center Theatre). Emily is also a singer-songwriter, and a member of the band Blue Bottle Collection, led by Daniel Zaitchik.
