The Riverdale Rising Stars performing arts camp, Summer Stage, proudly presents of DISNEY’S PETER PAN JR. for three performances only:
Thursday, August 7 at 7pm
Sunday, August 10 at 1pm
Sunday, August 10 at 5pm
Take a magical journey to Neverland! Fly away with Peter Pan, the boy who would not grow up, and his fairy friend Tinker Bell to a incredible world where new adventures lie around every corner, full of pirates, mermaids, Indians, lost boys, and a very hungry crocodile. Based on the classic movie, DISNEY’S PETER PAN JR. awakens the child in all of us.
Featuring a cast of 35 young actors ages 5 to 12 from Riverdale, Yonkers, Upper Manhattan, and beyond, performances will be held at the Riverdale YM-YWHA, located at 5625 Arlington Avenue (just off of Riverdale Avenue and West 256th Street), in Riverdale, Bronx, NY.

ABOUT SUMMER STAGE
This performance is the culminating presentation of Summer Stage, the ultimate theatre camp experience. Summer Stage gives budding thespians ages 7 to 12 a warm, nurturing environment in which they can discover their inner artist, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Over the course of six weeks, campers from the Riverdale community and beyond receive one-on-one attention from artistic professionals while taking fun classes in Acting, Shakespeare, Acting on Camera, Voice, Dance (tap and hip-hop), and Photography, and have opportunities to swim every day. Camp also includes a field trip to see Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical Cinderella.
The creative team for the Summer Stage production of DISNEY’S PETER PAN JR. includes Director Angela Howell, Music Director Ezra Mutnick and Choreographer Jessica Lavery The design team includes David Pentz (Lighting), Eric Zobak (Sets), and Penny Margeotes (Costumes)
DISNEY’S PETER PAN JR. is a stage adaptation of the 1953 Disney film, which was based on the story by James. M. Barrie. The 60-minute theatrical adaptation features all the familiar songs from the movie, including “You Can Fly,” “Never Smile at a Crocodile,” “Following the Leader,” “The Second Star to the Right.” and many more created especially for the stage version.
