ABOUT THE SHOW

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF tells the story of Tevye, a dairy farmer in a tight-knit Jewish community in turn-of-the-century Russia, who must balance his religious faith with a quickly changing world as his three eldest daughters seek to get married.  The record-breaking original Broadway production ran for nearly eight years, and has enjoyed numerous revivals in New York City and around the world.   Many of the show’s songs have become standards, including “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker,” “Tradition,” and, of course, “Sunrise, Sunset.”

The Riverdale Rep/Riverdale Rising Stars production is directed by Riverdale YM-YWHA Director of Performing Arts Laurie Walton with choreography by Emily Walton and music direction by Justin Fischer.  The design team includes Tony Wan (Scenery) Penelope Margeotes (Costumes), David Pentz (Lighting), and Denise Eberly (Sound).

The cast includes John Albert,  Christian Andrew Baptista, Julian Bar-Ilian, Ronnie Becher, Jordan Bland, Sarah Bolensky, Sara Crowe, Lesly de Groot, Patrick Dwyer, Abby Fisher, Eliza Fisher, Matt Gerber, Josh Judin, Giovanni Lazu,  Patrick Mahoney, Philip Meranus, Kaila Muñoz, Geiddy Muñoz, Hayden Nadine, Hadas Pri-Paz, Marilyn Raider, Barbara Salant, Shira Schleifer, Trevor Scott, Betsy Silverman, John Solomon, David Winter, and Sam Yaggy.
