Dance Instructor – Julie Garcia

Julie Garcia completed her masters in Dance Education from New York University. She has been a frequent guest teacher at Broadway Dance Center and has taught at Boston University, Long Island University, Jacksonville University and the Florida State College at Jacksonville. Julie currently works as Germaine Salsberg’s tap dance assistant, and dances for Germaine Salsberg’s Les Femmes, Adam Metzger’s S.L.U.R.P., and Xander Weinman’s Sophisticated Sounds.. She has danced in Tap City, the Tap Extravaganza, the DUMBO Dance Festival and Tradition in Tap. Julie served on the panel “living the dream” for the National Dance Education Organization’s national conference; Julie continues to research dance improvisation as it relates to the dancer and the creative process. |
